Repaint Practice No.20 ~ Gene (3)

Again it's Gene, I guess she looks much better this time. As you know this Gene came with no hair, so I made a turban for her.

My family is going to have a vacation next week, so this blog will suspend for a short time.

Repaint Practice No.19 ~ Sydney

This is another present doll, Tonner Sydney.

Repaint Practice No.18 ~ Gene (2)

Gene is a really good model for practice, so I tried more natural facial painting this time. I didn't paint the lips, the orange color is the result of stain from her early painting.

Repaint Practice No.17 ~ Gene

A kindly blog friend saw my articles about repaint practice, gave me two 16 inch dolls to practice. This is Gene, she came with no hair, so I use a scarf to hide it.

Repaint Practice No.15 ~ Monsieur Z

I only repaint the eyes and eyebrows. Blush and lips are the factory makeup.

Repaint Practice No.12 ~ Licca

This is Licca, my daughter's toy. So far I repainted all 4 doll of her, and she likes them.

Repaint Practice No.11 ~ Susie (2)

It's Susie again... I like this one better than No.8, so the facial paint will remain for a while.

Repaint Practice No.10 ~ DAISO Doll

This doll is a original doll of cheap shop "DAISO", everything in the shop is sold for 39NTD, which is about 1.3USD. So I got one doll and some outfits for my daughter.

Repaint Practice No.9 ~ Barbie

This Barbie is my daughter's toy, I can't recall her name.

Repaint Practice No.8 ~ Susie

I have some Susie dolls, they are very cute. This one is Piccadilly Dally Susie, her outfits are just wonderful. But I don't like her original facial paint, too pale and unnatural. So I repainted her face, hopefully you will like her.

Repaint Practice No.7 ~ Integrity Design Kit (2)

I removed the makeup of No.5 and repaint it again. It's really difficult to control the stoke of tiny blush.

Repaint Practice No.6 ~ Obitsu Head

I have this Obitsu head in hand for several years, this is the first time I tried to paint it. Oh this is really difficult! The face is not much bigger than a thumb, I know there are many  Obitsu repainters in Japan, they did amazing jobs on this small head.

Repaint Practice No.5

The new acrylic colors arrived so I did some repaint Practices this week. This is the design kit by Integrity, which is also the first 3 repaints I did 6 years ago. This is much more difficult because this 12 inch doll has smaller face than My Scene Barbie, I need more practices.

Repaint Practice No.4 My Scene Barbie

The first time I tried to repaint is 6 years ago. But the results were terrible(I will show you later), so I didn't continue. Another reason is, I focused on my paper doll creations at that time. Since my clingy son doesn't let me using computer (he will cry when I sit in front of computer), I will try more on repaint.

The bad thing is, I can't find all my acrylic colors, only 4 colors left. I ordered some from online shop, but it will take several days. So I decided to see what I can do with these 4 colors.

My model is a My Scene Barbie, which is my daughter's toy. By the way, she is "mother" when we are playing house.

My Scene Barbie has a big face so it's much easier to repaint.

My daughter likes this repaint, but I will remove it since I need models to practice.

I will call her No.4, since she is my 4th repaint.

This is No.1, which was made in 2006.

Then I removed it and repaint it as No.2.

And this is No.3.
